Writer Square has changed hands for $95.28 million, becoming one of a handful of downtown Denver assets to trade for more than $500 per square foot.
Unico Properties sold the office/retail property, located at Larimer Street and the Sixteenth Street mall, to GKT Writer Square LLC, a Kroenke Group affiliate. Unico and LaSalle Investment Management bought the 181,431-square-foot property in fall 2013 for $68.25 million, or $380.71 per sf.
Writer Square consists of a 123,285-sf office tower and 58,146 sf of retail space, along with 435 parking spaces.
The property was listed by Geoff Baukol, Mike Winn and Tim Richey, who declined to comment on the transaction.
